Lola AJA Therapies

Hi, I’m Lola and I am a highly qualified and motivated professional with over ten years Mental Health experience.

I created Aja Therapies, to provide accessible and affordable Mental Health therapies for all.

Aja is the Yoruba Goddess for health and healing who shared her gift with others so as to continue the cycle of good health and healing. Through Aja Therapies, like the Goddess, I hope to share my knowledge and skills with you, to help you to become the optimum version of yourself.

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse and accredited psychotherapist I’ve always strived to help others heal their minds. Staying in control of your Mental Health is a constant journey! Aja Therapies can provide you with a variety of skills to maintain that control of your emotional wellbeing.

I’m a believer that we need to nurture the coming generations to also remain in control of their Mental Health. This is why I have a specialism in Children & Adolescent Mental Health [CAMH(S)]. I was fortunate to have the right support around me growing up and now with Aja therapies I can pay it forward. I have extensive knowledge of supporting a range of mental health challenges, working within CAMHS inpatient, CAMHS forensics and within the community as a CAMHS practitioner; as well as supporting working with family units, assisting with family dynamics, improving communication and gathering evidence to support ADHD/Autism diagnosis/management. I work with people of all ages and have experience ranging from dementia care, end of life treatment, adult forensics mental health, adult inpatient mental health, and adult community Mental Health.

I’ve had a colourful and adventurous road to lead me to where I am and I’m happy to share that with you. What I share now is that I am Neurospicy (Definition: Neurospicy is a term that holds a special place in the hearts of many neurodivergent individuals. It's a symbol of resilience, creativity, and pride. By reclaiming and reframing stereotypes, we empower ourselves and others to embrace our multifaceted identities and advocate for a more affirming world). I can relate to the constant ups and downs of Mental Health challenges. Life isn’t one upward trajectory, but that’s okay. Let’s take the ups with the downs and remain in control of our own narrative. I have a strong passion for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and keep it at the heart of everything I do. I’ve formally been a trustee for the charity YCare International and have spoken in the House of Commons regarding Youth Justice. I’m currently learning BSL (passed level 1 woo!) and am a Spongebob Superfan!

Aja Therapies can provide you with the tools needed to take control of your emotional wellbeing. What you see is what you get with me and my authenticity may be why I could be the right therapist for you.

Love Lola, Aja Therapies
Helping you become the optimum version of yourself!
